How To Find Free Computers

Need something gently used?

Laptops, tablets and iPhones are here to stay forever and the newer devices just keep popping up overnight. I’m sharing a few tips and resources on how you can find free computers. If you don’t need a free computer you can still use these tips to find what you need. But first you must apply some math.

Determination+ Hard work=Success.

There are a lot of free things for all of us to take advantage of but they will cost you effort.

Your best resources are your closest resources
Local groups and coalition meetings are your best bet for finding these resources. I encourage everyone to join or attend a resource meeting because information is disseminated to a larger population of people. in these groups, networking can bring more awareness and knowledge about community resources. There is always a time for questions and announcements. Use this time to ask your community where you can find computers or resources available for your needs.

Business, city or county government and purchase departments

Sometimes local government offices will upgrade electronic equipment or office furniture. These resources will require you to keep an eye out for a public announcement or make an inquiry for the right department or person to talk to.

Computer manufacturers or distributors

These corporations may already have what you need. Be aware that companies like Dell’s Community programs are interested in more than just hardware. They are interested in Youth, IT Initiatives and Social Entrepreneurship. Make sure your mission matches these before you apply.

Private and corporate sponsors, donations, fundraisers, and grants

These resources will require you to plan out the cost of what you need including shipping and tax. You will have to have to convince your donors that there is a need and that you will be able to solve a problem with the funds you are asking for.

I hope I have helped you on your journey to finding resources to make your life and business more profitable. Contact me if I can be of service to you or be a good friend and share this newsletter. Click the links below for more resources.
